On Thursday July 31, 2008, from 6 to 8 PM, Russ Cohen [click here for his website], one of the region's foremost wild edible plant experts, led the 8th annual wild edible plant walk on the farm.
The first annual Fall Festival and Fundraiser, held on Saturday, October 20th, 2007, was a great success! We raffled off awesome stuff like gift certificates to Hamersley's Bistro, Les Zygomates, Rialto, Lionette's Market, and Concord Provisions, plus a book of essays edited by Vandana Shiva, some beautiful framed photos of the farm, and a wool hat knitted by our blogger. The weather was beautiful. Pumpkins were hunted, gourds and faces were painted, Blue Heron T-shirts were worn, great music was played, and kids had lots of fun. And we raised lots of money toward our irrigation system! Check out the blog for some great photos!
